Fall of 2007

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving...

Chelsy's first day of Junior High went very smooth. No problems with finding her classrooms. She has met a lot of new friends. She is very excited about Junior High and all the new experiences.

We mailed off the last of the picnic in the boxes.

Chelsy and I ( meaning mother) have been busy moving. So there has not been time for Chelsy to do any fund raising. We moved from our home into an apt. Due to my health the up keep on the home was getting to be to much. We now have a beautiful view of the river outside our living room window.

This fall Chelsy was invited to the Govenors Residence for dinner. Since Chelsy was only 13, I was also invited. It was an honor to meet the First Lady of Minnesota, and to be seated at her table. The First Lady opened the evening buy introducing Chelsy and Chelsy's Heroes. This was a great honor for Chelsy to be honored by the First Lady and her assistant. Julie Nelson was Channel 11 is good friends with the First Lady so she was also present at the Dinner. We had the chance to meet some wonderful people. Pictures will be posted on the web sight soon of the evening.

We were able to send off some Halloween Care Packages. Halloween is such a fun time of year. Halloween care packages are fun to put together.

Great Clips has four locations in the St Cloud/Sartell area. Each store was given four boxes of disposable razors. They were to hand out to their customers. The owner recalled hearing about Chelsy Heroes. So she found the web sight. Great Clips contacted us and each store is donating their four cases of disposable razors. Each case has 72 razors. So we will have 16 cases or razors to mail off. We would like to thank Great Clips of St Cloud and Sartell for thinking of Chelsy's Heroes.

As Thanksgiving approaches, we are busy planning a fund raiser. We are hoping this will be a huge success. Last year we mailed off Thanksgiving care packages, but this year due to the lack of time and funding we did not send off anything Thanksgiving meal care packages.

The money raised from this upcoming fund raisers will be used to send Holiday Care Packages over seas and help Military families out back home. We are also having a gift collection drive. For children and teens of Military Families. I call it a gift collection drive, because when the word toy drive is used. People usually think of of small children and not teenagers.

On the web sight you will find the flier for the upcoming fund raiser.

If anyone of you are interested in purchasing Tastefully Simple Products. Please contact me. They make wonderful Holiday gift. The women hosting the party is doing the party as a fund raiser for Chelsy's Heroes. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Chelsy's Heroes.

With the Christmas Season fast approaching we are in need of donations. If you would like to donate an item for a family back home. We are looking for items for Children and teenagers. Please contact me.

Monetary donations can also be made at any Central Minnesota Federal Credit Union.

I would like to thank those who are putting a stop to the Rumors going around town about Chelsy's Heroes. These rumors have been damaging to Chelsy's Heroes. I find it very sad how a 13 year old girl, who has done nothing but good and started Chelsy's Heroes. Seemed to be the the talk of the bars. Chelsy's Heroes has done nothing illegal. I do hope that this is the last time that I have to defend Chelsy's Heroes. A family member is bound and determined to put an end to Chelsy's Heroes out of jealousy and spite. So I do hope all of the rumors spread by this family member will be laid to rest and this will the last time it needs to be mentioned.

Once again Chelsy's Heroes thanks you for all of your support.

We wish all of you A Happy and Safe, Thanksgiving.

P.S. We would also like to thank Jen for all of her hard work on the web sight. She has done a great job. Be sure to check back frequently for updates and other additions.

If you know of a Military family needing support this Holiday Season or a Military personal overseas needing a care package. Please do not hesitate to email us.
