Hello Friends of Chelsy's Heroes. Another years has come and gone. Chelsy's Heroes has added some changes to the non profit. We are still sending care packages overseas. In addition to that we are helping Families of Military back home and Veterans.  We have also started helping people in other states. We get requests from other states and we do not like to turn anyone away.

 

2008 we had to cut back on our fundraising efforts. Due to some health issues with Chelsy's mom and being in and out of the hospital and on bed rest.

 

 We were still able to find time to get in some fishing along with the fundraising.

 

We were able to send off many Valentine and Easter Care Packages overseas and to Families back home.

 

Chelsy  went to summer camp for the first time. She was gone a week. It was a new and great experience for her. She met a lot of great people.

 

Chelsy was invited to be a part of the press conference held in August at the Home School in Sauk Centre.  The goal was to raise enough money to open a facility for Veterans.

 

Thanksgiving found us with Military families in need of Thanksgiving care packages so we were able to help out there.

 

We had an overwhelming response to our holiday program. So we were quite busy in November and December preparing for our Christmas care packages.  We are happy to say that we were able to help out 75 families with Holiday care packages. Some of these families had a loved one serving overseas or are a Veteran.

 

Things have seemed to quiet down with the rumors about Chelsy's Heroes. It is really sad when someone takes the hard work of one child and has to turn it around and gossip.  I wish these people who had nothing better to do then gossip knew how it affected Chelsy. To the point she was ready to give up on Chelsy's Heroes.

 

Chelsy has had the opportunity to meet some wonderful people of our Military and Veterans. People who appreciate what she is doing and is so thankful for all her support.
